STEP 1 - REGISTER FOR THE ADMISSIONS TEST
Please access the following link to register for the Admissions Test at MinHang Campus。 For applicantion at XuHui Campus, please contact the Admissions Office directly to arrange for a test date。

STEP 2 - SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO YOUR ASSIGNED ADMISSIONS OFFICER:
All documents pertaining to your child‘s applications are required to be submitted no less than a week before the Admissions Test Date。 Please refer to this following links for the documents to be submitted:
Children of Foreign Citizens (except Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau)
Children of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau Citizens
Children of Chinese Citizens & Were Born Overseas
Children of Chinese Citizens & Have Obtained Overseas PR
All records must be translated into English or Chinese by an authorized translation company。
Please bring the original documents to the Admissions Office for verification on the day of the Admissions Test。

STEP 3 - MAKE PAYMENT FOR THE ADMISSIONS TEST AND COMPLETE THE ADMISSIONS TEST
You are encouraged to arrive at Shanghai Singapore International School at least 20 minutes before your child’s Admissions Test is administered。 Payment of the Admissions Test Fee can be made in cash or POS with local bank debit cards。
STEP 4 - COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION
Successful applicants will receive the SSIS Admissions Notification within 7 days after paying the Registration Fee。
Please contact your assigned Admissions Officer should you not receive the SSIS Admissions Notification within the stipulated period。
1。 For children of foreign citizens, at least one of the applicant’s parent must fulfill all of the requirements listed below:
(a) Holds a foreign passport;
(b) Works in Shanghai and holds a valid Shanghai-issued Alien Employment Permit and
(c) Resides in Shanghai and holds a valid Shanghai-issued Residence Permit For Foreigner and a Shanghai Temporary Residence Permit。
2。 Children of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan citizens:
(a) The applicant and both parents must hold the Permanent Hong Kong Identity Card/Macau SAR Permanent Identity Card/Taiwan Compatriot Permit, where applicable, in order to attend SSIS。
3。 Children of Chinese Mainland citizens:
(a) Applicants who meet the following conditions may contact the Admissions Office of Shanghai Singapore International School directly for admissions:
Both parents hold the Chinese Mainland passports;
At least one parent works and resides in Shanghai and
The child was born overseas with a lawful foreign birth certificate。
(b) Advance official approval from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SHMEC) is required if:
The entire family holds the Chinese Mainland passports and has obtain permanent resident status in a foreign country;
At least one parent works and resides in Shanghai and
The child studied in an overseas education institution in the last two consecutive years。
Age Requirement
To promote the total development of each student, SSIS does not encourage grade skipping。 A student is also not advised to enrol at a level two years younger than his/her age。
