Located only 1 hour from the Canadian International School of Hefei (CISH) by bus, Sanhe Ancient Town was the location of a wonderful day trip for our teachers and their families on April 6th during the Qingming Festival holiday weekend. Thirty teachers with their families came along, but they were not alone! Thousands and thousands of locals and visitors filled the streets to this popular sight-seeing region! Massive temples, beautiful rivers and bridges along cobblestone walking streets filled with shops and restaurants lined miles and miles of roads and side alleys. Special traditional handmade snacks were everywhere to be tasted. The weather was perfect, sunny with a cool breeze all day long. There were boat rides to take you between major stop points. All in all the day was a fantastic, fun and cultural trip to Ancient Town for us all.
