  Principal 校长   John Elmer BA, B.Ed., M.Ed., Specialist Sp. Ed., O.C.T, John Elmer has more than 30 year experience as a principal and educator in Ontario, Canada. He has taught in the public and private high school systems in the Toronto area. Due to his success, as a principal, in various international private high schools, John has acquired significant knowledge in the unique needs and problems facing international applicants to the Canadian education system.   John has also taught at the university and college levels in Toronto and was a consultant to the University of Toronto, Special Needs Programme. He was also a member of the Planning Committee for Inspected Private School for the Ontario Ministry of Education.   John has extensive experience as a curriculum programmer, special educator and principal in Ontario. He has directed professional workshops for staff at the Child Development Clinic at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, several private clinics, and the Council for Exceptional Children, also in Toronto. Kitty Zhou

  Vice Principal 副校长   Kitty Zhou is currently a Vice principal at Outstanding International Academy. She is a graduate from Beijing University of Chemical Technology with a degree in Computer Science. After graduation, Kitty immigrated to Canada. From 2004 to 2017, she worked in Canada's largest private boarding school, responsible for marketing and student management. Kitty has served as a course consultant, a career counsellor, and a vice principal. Kitty has rich experience in student management, teaching management and international education management. As an expert in Studying Abroad Planning and counselling for future studies, she has considerable understanding of Canadian life and the Canadian education system to successfully guide international students' and parents' through the application and course selection process. She has helped thousands of students successfully enter prestigious Canadian universities and has won parents' and scholars' trust. Kitty has helped countless families resolve educational issues when applying to Canada and she always exceeds parents' and students' expectations. Michele Mckavanagh

Michele Mckavanagh

  Vice Principal 副校长   Michele's extensive experience working overseas in education has prepared her for the unique challenges facing international students. After finishing her studies at the University of Toronto, she taught English in Seoul, South Korea, then worked in Europe, developing and implementing curriculum for English language studies in Austrian schools, and for officers, the police, and enlisted soldiers at the military academy. She also lectured and mentored graduate students at the Styrian Teacher's College in Graz, Austria, to prepare them for teaching English in their classrooms.   In Ontario, Michele has taught English and Social Studies, and worked extensively in curriculum programming and development of high school courses. She believes building a strong team of educators to support students' learning is the key to success in online learning. Michele focuses on students' unique interests and abilities to successfully support and guide them throughout their academic careers. As a dedicated lifelong learner, she is pursuing her Master's in Educational Leadership at Royal Roads University. Michele believes in every student's ability to succeed and is committed to supporting international students in their goal of an Ontario education. Nicole Pittman

Nicole Pittman

  English / Business Teacher   英语 / 商务类课程老师   Nicole Pittman is a Canadian teacher who received her Master of Teaching (MT) and Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) degree at the University of Toronto. She has extensive English training, working in one-to-one and group-based settings where she has had the pleasure of teaching students ranging from gifted to ESL backgrounds. Over the course of her teaching, Miss Nicole has worked with a variety of students who have immigrated to Canada. She has implemented the Grade 9-12 Ontario curriculum while helping students build their English foundational skills, and their confidence to become independent learners. Miss Nicole has taught overseas in places like Indonesia, where she has gained invaluable insight into the art of giving students opportunities to celebrate their own cultures within their learning experiences. Jordan Davis

Wanting to further his scientific education, he remained there and completed a Master of Science thesis program in heart research. Throughout Jordan's time as a student, he was committed to improving the scientific literacy and STEM engagement in his community. He tutored high school students, taught elementary school students about brain heath and safety, and worked to facilitate the involvement of local students in on-campus educational programs. He was also a long time teaching assistant in multiple science courses. After graduation, Jordan used the latest advancements in online learning strategies to develop health science courses for Queen's University. He is committed to using his knowledge in science and education to improve the STEM learning experience for today's students. As a certified Civil Engineer, he participated in several municipal engineering projects in Calgary, Alberta. To challenge himself and pursue his dreams, he came to Toronto and became a core managing member of Outstanding International Academy.   Frankie is rigorous, responsible and professional.
